We take a modern approach to woodworking and marquetry to create one of a kind handbags, home accessories and collectibles. The brand was conceived with a desire to create timeless, unique pieces, each product designed to hold a permanent place in your home. All of our designs are brought to life in a small atelier in the heart of the Jura forest in Switzerland.

Our adventure started with a strong belief in slow fashion. We design pieces that last over time and encourage our community to invest in quality rather than quantity. In order to manufacture responsibly and ethically, our talented artisans work with FSC / PEFC certified wood from sustainably managed forests and favour native tree species. The strict selection process of each piece of wood guarantees a high level of quality.

Overproduction is ravaging our planet. In the spirit of tackling this, our business model revolves around an on-demand production process.
As we work with noble materials, pre-orders allow us to define exactly how many units to produce, and enable us to avoid unnecessary waste.

We believe in responsible manufacturing, responsible consumption and a greener planet.
That’s why we’ve partnered up with the Green Future Project, donating to a restoration project on the Western coast of Madagascar and a preservation project on the Canandé Reserve, Ecuador for every LAYESION item sold.
