Our commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship lies at the heart of LAYESION. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, many of whom work in family-owned workshops, such as in the Swiss Jura region. These artisans bring generations of expertise to every piece, ensuring that the time-honored techniques of working with wood and other materials continue to thrive.
Our use of wood is deeply symbolic. It’s a material that’s timeless, organic, and tells a unique story through its grain and texture. Working with wood requires patience and skill—it doesn’t always behave predictably, which challenges us to adapt and get creative. Our mission is to transform this traditionally rugged, masculine material into something modern, feminine, and elegant. Each piece carries the essence of nature and the mastery of our artisans, resulting in a product that is both luxurious and meaningful.
Sustainability at our core
Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword at LAYESION—it’s a commitment embedded in every step of our process. We’re dedicated to using responsibly sourced materials, particularly wood, ensuring that our products are both beautiful and environmentally responsible.
We’ve partnered with Green Future Project, a climate tech platform that helps us actively contribute to reforestation and carbon offset efforts. For every product sold, 10-15 mangrove trees are planted in Madagascar, and we make a donation to the preservation of the Canandé Reserve in Ecuador. This allows us to not only minimise our environmental impact but also give back to nature in meaningful ways.
Our approach to sustainability goes beyond materials—it’s about mindful consumption. We advocate for fewer, better things. Each LAYESION piece is designed to be a timeless treasure, a product that can be cherished for years to come, not something fleeting. We believe that luxury can and should coexist with responsibility, and we hope to inspire others to embrace a more conscious way of consuming.

We give our customers the opportunity to make their purchase even more meaningful by allowing customisation. From selecting wood veneers to choosing fabrics for the lining, clients can personalise their piece, ensuring that it reflects their own story.
Through our bespoke services, customers can also decide where their donation goes. Our partnership with Green Future Project allows us to offer clients the chance to select from various environmental initiatives, making their purchase experience truly unique and impactful.
